Randy Wayne White writes modern swashbuckling adventures that take place in the tropics mostly in Florida and the Caribbean. His main character Doc Ford rescues many damsels in distress and puts an end to many bad guys. White started his career on the water servings as fishing guide off Sanibel Island. In addition to his Doc Ford books, he has written many books and articles on fishing, and he even has a cook book out there. He now has a restaurant, Doc Ford’s Sanibel Rum Bar & Grille. His other talents and pleasures include baseball and travel.
